Giraffes Can't Dance

"Giraffes Can't Dance" by Giles Andreae. This has to be one of the most heart tugging and heartwarming books ever. I often talk about acceptance, inclusion and awareness in my blogs and this book helps to explain these things to our children. A healthy and informed start in life begins at home. How we respond to people that are different from us says a lot about or fears and or ignorance.

It's okay to be different. We should teach our children to embrace what is unique about them and to accept and respect those same differences in others, "Giraffes Can't Dance" is a treasure to keep. I can't tell you how many time I have read this book to Eden. Even at two, I want her to embrace her small stature and understand that she can do just about anything she wants to do. She will have to do it her way, and that's quite okay. Everyone wasn't made to dance to the same beat.

Click on the book above and treat both your little one and yourself to one of the best books ever.
